La Journée Terry Fox

The Canadian community at SHAPE hosted the annual Terry Fox run.
Great event on a beautiful Belgium Fall day.
Costumes, dogs, all forms of physical transportation and even a bagpiper completed the event.  We ran as a family and even Sam’s short legs completed the 5 kilometer run.

Three Scouts

First Open Water Dive

Zach and Nate completed their 1st open water dive on Saturday.

Only four more to go until they earn their certification!

SHAPE festival

Big carnival on the NATO base today.  Bumper cars, quads and lots of good food.

It was also the first home game for the SHAPE Spartans.

Spotted a few more fine examples of British engineering.  A nice looking Mini and a Royal Enfield motorcycle.

Surprise

Jordan hosted a surprise birthday party for one of her friends.  A dozen teenagers in the house…

Success

One of this weekend’s projects was to get a hand-me-down iPhone to work in Europe.  5 bars!

Parents Night at SHAPE High School

Jordan has two very intriguing classes this year, Model United Nations and AP English Literature.  Model UN culminates in a trip to the Hague where student delegations from all over the globe come together.  They spend five days attempting the solve the world’s most challenging issues using the United Nations diplomatic process.
