Paris Hemingway Trip

Jordan and her AP English Literature classmates had great time living the café life of young writers…for a few days.

Saturday Den Meeting

Jillian is Den Mother for Sam’s Cub Scout Pack.  Sam and four of his fellow Scouts finished up their requirements for Wolf Scout today.  They baked some corn starch Christmas cookies, made applesauce and marched down to the local recycling center.  Great fun and all the boys got to bring home cookies and applesauce.

Game Night

With everyone’s crazy schedules, we moved Game Night to thursday. Played a family favorite this week.  Jillian usually wins Ticket to Ride, but this week Zachary won by dominating the western United States.  He pretty much had a monopoly on the territory of the old Central Pacific Railroad.

Treats from the Far East

Our friends who are stationed in Okinawa, Japan sent a box of goodies.  The boys really liked the small cans of Fanta flavored jello-soda.  Thank you, Payne family!

A Moveable Feast

Jordan departed today for her AP-English Literature field trip.  They are traveling to Paris and spending four days following in the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway.  Arriving in 1921, Hemingway lived there for a few years running with a circle of expatriate American writers.
