Jillian and Jordan went shopping for a Junior-Senior Prom dress, so the boys went exploring. Our first stop was the open house at the Saint-Ghislain Rail Museum.
The club and museum are housed in an old coach factory.
My kind of garage!
Model train layouts were a hit. Plus, lots of dirty and greasy stuff to climb on and explore.
With a good train fix, the next stop was the local marina. It had been many months since we “walked the docks.” Mons’ port and marina are located in a big turning basin on the European canal system here:
Barge traffic in the background.
A very nice looking canal boat. Believe that is a Mini on deck with a crane to move it!
Also, spotted an innovative use for one of the many ferro-cement DIY boat hulls abandoned around the world.
