We had some short notice business to take care of back in Washington, so we decided to make it a family vacation. I also used the trip home as an opportunity to move the truck and camper back to the West Coast. We had stored them at cousin Kevin’s place after our Summer 2008 roadtrip east.
I planned to stay south on I-80 to avoid any early winter storms.
Well…that backfired and I ran into a doozy of a snowstorm in western Nebraska. Spent all day going the 250 miles to Cheyenne.
With I-80 still closed, I elected to dog-leg north and pick up I-90. Driving through Big Sky Country is always a pleasure!
Washington state at last!
